The best teacher I know who I am not related to (inherent bias and all) is on her 4th Corolla.

My 4th grade teacher had a white on white Sunbird convertible and that always screamed “TEACHER” to me as the convertible makes more sense when your days are free in the warm months.

My third grade teacher drove one of these. Best car in the whole damn parking lot. Apparently her family had money, as I can’t see a mid 20's teacher affording this car in the mid 70's.

My stepmom was a music teacher for 35 years. She lived at home when she started out and her first car was a brand new 1968 Corvette Stingray with a 327 (350 HP) and a four-speed trans. Convertible hard top.

Here’s the ones I can remember growing up.

Elementary school:

The PE teacher had a blue late 70's Trans Am, complete with giant screaming chicken. The music teacher drove a Fiero. One Special Ed teacher had a Saab convertible, and the other (who lived three doors down from me) had a giant Winnebego that would gouge the street with it’s rear bumper every time he pulled in or out of his driveway. The principle rode a Honda Goldwing every day, even in the winter.

Middle School:

The overly touchy feely 6th grade math teacher drove a 2-door Mazda Navaho. The 7th grade Spanish teacher drove a Taurus wagon. The 8th grade Social Studies teacher drove an Audi convertible, white with a blue top. The art teacher had a then new first year Altima. The 8th grade Science teacher, who used to hit on my mom, drove a rusted out first gen Integra. The shop teacher, who was also the assistant principal, drove a Nissan hardbody. He also had a ‘57 Ranchero that he was restoring.

High school:

My Spanish teacher had an early Saturn SL. My shop/drafting teacher had a ‘95 Grand Cherokee with a winch bumper. He actually took it off road. One of the custodians, who was our friends uncle, absolutely loved his Geo Metro. Funny, you’d think I’d no more of the high school ones.

Of course there’s my Roadmonster.
